Peekaboo Wing Chair
Here it is: The Wing chair of Swedish manufacturer Blå Station. The extraordinary but modern design is created by Stefan Borselius.
It is not clear if Stefan Borselius was inspired by the peekaboo game but it is certain that he designed with the unique wing chair an oasis of peace and quietness. With the comfortable sitting and the overhead high seat shell, peekaboo provide the necessary calmness and safety in the daily stress. For those who need more quietness, a hood can be added like in a convertible.
Stefan Borselius about peekaboo: In times when we are breaking down existing barriers to facilitate meetings and shared encounters, new needs soon arise for seclusion. The Peekaboo wing-chair that was shown for the first time last Stockholm Furniture Fair 2006, a modern wing-chair with a possibility to add a hood in formfelt (the material is in itself sound absorbing) to create a small oasis, a small room of your own.
Peekaboo is now presented with new clothes ready for delivery. The moulded formfelt can be in Grey, Black or White and has been laminated with Alcantara on the inside to give a surface that is soft, comfortable and has a strong hold. For the first time ever possible on a product were the challenge to succeed in pressing the material to it's outer limits was already in itself an impossibility that became possible.
