Flashlight Apollo
In 1997, Marc Newson who was born in Australia created the Apollo flashlight with its futuristic design. Since 2000 it is produced by the Italian lightning manufacturer Flos.
The body of Apollo consists of spun and anodized aluminium. The diffuser is made of injection-molded transparente polycarbonate (UL-94 V1). The case which is included in the delivery is made of injection-molded shaped orange polypropylene (UL-94 HB).
The On/Off switching is made by head rotation. Apollo has a leather cord.
It is operated by 2 D alkaline batteries. Spare bulbs can be included in the bottom.
The net weight is 0.4 kg.

Marc Newson was born in 1962 in Sydney, Australia. During his childhood, he travelled a lot through Europe and Asia After graduating in 1984 from the College of Art in Sydney in Sculptury and jewellery, he moved to Tokyo.
