Mayday Multipurpose Light
The Mayday multipurpose light was created 1998 by Konstantin Grcic for Flos. Although the design is rather simple and light, Mayday is multitalented. Furthermore, Mayday is rewarded with the Compasso d´Oro in 2001 and is also included in the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Modern Arts.
Mainly, Mayday should be used where it is needed. For handcrafts work, Mayday can be carried with the all-purpose handle or even be hung up or one just rolls the cable around the handle and places Mayday aside. Furthermore, Mayday looks fantastic in every housing space – as a pendular light, a ceiling light or a floor light.
The tapered diffuser is injection-molded and consists of opaline polypropylene (UL-94HB). The hook/handle which is also acting as a cord winder and where the switch button is made of 10 % talc-filled injection-molded polypropylene (UL-94HB)
