B.L.O. Table Lamp
The B.L.O. table lamp was created by Dutch designer Marcel Wanders in 2001 for Flos.
“It is something that you do not expect, but when it is there, you will appreciate it. An acceptable surprise” (Marcel Wanders).
Indeed, B.L.O. mostly causes surprise for the observer and especially for the user. Regarding the shape, the table light looks like a historical candleholder with a reflector mirror. Accordingly the handling is aligned to the form – the light can simply be blown out.
B.L.O. is a table lamp which provides direct and reflected light. The reflector is made of polished stainless steel. The base consists of coloured translucent or opaque injection-molded polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA)(UL-94 HB).
B.L.O. can be turned on and off just by blowing or by use of a standard switch on the power cord. The polarized power cord has a length of 192 cm. The net weight is 0.3 kg.
