Canteen - double-walled glasses
These double-walled glasses were designed by Masato Yamamoto for Bodum. The glasses exist in three product lines: Canteen, Pavina and Assam. The glass series Canteen and Pavina were awarded the Red Dot Design Award.
These double-walled glasses have a lot of advantages in comparison with common, single-wall glasses:
- hot drinks can be held in the hand without handle
- there is no condensation water on the glass surface regarding cold drinks
- the drinks remain warm for a longer time than in single-wall glasses
One presumes that the inventor of the stemmed glass was inspired by the idea of wine hovering in the air. The double-walled glasses by Bodum represent another way to make your drink hover.
