Origo, brown-striped

In 1999 Alfredo Häberli created the Origo tableware for the Finnish design manufacturer Iittala. Nobody would have predicted then that this product would become a real design classic.

The Origo design was awarded international prizes several times: the IF Design Award in 2002, the Excellent Swedish Design Award in 2001 and the Japanese Prize Zakka of the Year 2001.

According to Iittala, where quality is of great importance, the Origo series withstands the burden of daily use for an extraordinarily long time. Being dishwasher as well as microwave-safe and also frost and heat-resistant, the Origo porcelain is a colourful enrichment from the mornings to the evenings.

Within a few years Origo has managed to attract the world’s attention. It is available in orange, red, beige and brown; thus, it is not difficult for everybody to find his favourite.
