Italian designer Enzo Mari was born in 1932 in Novara. He taught at the Politecnico di Milano, the Center vor Visual Communication in Parma, the Art Academy of Carrara and at the Umanitari di Milano.

Enzo Mari has developed toys, office tools and furniture. His fame is based on his creations for italian design manufacturer Danese Milano, his ceramics for Gabbianelli, drapery and furniture for Driade and his numerous publications on design.
Mari was awarded the Compassi d'Oro twice. In 1967 for his studies on design and in 1979 for his "Delfina" chair (Driade).
